The Cottage is a fully rebuilt terraced cottage which has been furnished, decorated and equipped to a very high standard. It is located on the edge of the centre of Keswick overlooking the river and park and gives easy level walking to all of Keswick's many amenities including the leisure pool and fitness centre, the new theatre, the cinema, museums, the lake and parks, together with many cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Keswick is of course excellent for exploring the Northern, North-Western and Central fells; several ascents can be made straight from the front door! The Cottage has a private off-road parking space (this is a little awkward but certainly possible for a very large car). The cottage has been completely redecorated both inside and out, and a new kitchen fitted, during spring 2007.
The Cottage has been inspected and graded at 4 stars by the English Tourism Council.

The Cottage has modern electric storage heating and unlimited hot water. It provides very comfortable and clean accommodation for 4/5 adults/children and one cot. There is a shared but secluded yard at the rear of the property. A payphone is available which can be used for both outgoing and incoming calls. Please note that all bed linen (except for the cot) and towels are supplied and all heating costs are covered within the rental.
The accommodation is as follows:
Kitchen: well equipped fitted kitchen / dining room with electric oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge / freezer, washing machine / tumble dryer, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, electric iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, CD/MP3/USB radio player, dining table, chairs and high chair.

Living room: this room has two sofas and a desk and being on the first floor has views over the park, Skiddaw and Latrigg. There is a teletext television with Sky Freesat system (over 120 digital television channels together with over 80 digital radio channels), DVD and video players, CD hi-fi system and a bookcase containing a set of Wainright fell guides.


Bedrooms: two large double bedrooms (one on the ground floor), each with a double bed, wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables and chairs. A foldaway bed and a cot are also available.


Bathroom: with bath, shower, sink, toilet and razor point.
Hall: with telephone and storage area for bicycles / push chairs.
The Cottage is no-smoking but one well-behaved dog is welcome.

Note that all weeks run Saturday to Saturday. An initial payment of £100 is required to reserve any week (please e-mail or telephone to confirm that a week is still available and to make a preliminary booking). The balance remaining should be paid two weeks before the stay together with a refundable deposit of £50 which will be returned within 10 days of the end of the holiday if there are no breakages or damage. This deposit does not apply if you have stayed with us before.
